With over two decades of experience in ceramics, I specialize in both hand-building and throwing on the wheel, creating a diverse range of functional and decorative pieces. I hold a BA in Sculpture/Ceramics from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Arts and Cultural Traditions from Southern Methodist University. My academic background, combined with my extensive teaching experience, has deeply informed my artistic practice. As a ceramics educator for over 20 years, I have had the privilege of guiding countless students in discovering their own creative voices through clay.

My work, which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, is a reflection of my dedication to the craft. I continually explore new techniques and push the boundaries of traditional ceramics, resulting in unique pieces that are both utilitarian and artful. My artistic journey is fueled by a passion for the tactile nature of clay and the endless possibilities it offers. Whether I'm creating a delicate hand-built sculpture or a robust wheel-thrown bowl, each piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a deep appreciation for the medium. While in my studio creating, I strive to bring a sense of beauty and functionality into everyday life, enriching the spaces they inhabit.
