Maria Silva is originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and has been in the United States for years. She worked for the State of Texas before finding her passion of creating and selling her family’s original salsa recipe.
In the summer of 2013, a friend secretly rolled the dice on a contest on her behalf and won. This is when Maria knew she had something to offer. Shortly afterward, co-workers and friends were requesting Maria’s salsa on a daily basis. With every consecutive week, the orders were growing. Today, Beba’s Pfresh Salsa is sold at farmers markets, Market Days across Texas hill country, and local grocery stores!
Wondering where our name came from? Deciding to name our salsa, Beba’s was simple. Beba is Maria’s nickname. The family lived in Pflugerville, and all of her ingredients are Pfresh and is an authentic Mexican salsa. Beba’s Pfresh was born and grew in Pflugerville, and now produced in Elgin Texas. Despite their growth, Beba’s is committed to making our traditional Mexican salsa “pfresh” every week!
