Hi, I'm Myra! (she/they) The maker behind the brand.
Before Aryu Designs, I was a surgical technologist for 9 years. Feeling stuck with nowhere to put my creativity, I turned my hobby into a brand rooted in my identity as a queer, first-generation Mexican-American woman. What began as a weekend craft to add to my jewelry collection sparked a passion to share my love for community and unapologetic living with other girls, gays, and theys.

As the maker, I feel so connected to my pieces because I'm the one who mixes the colors, creates the designs from my culture, sculpts the clay by hand, and assembles all of the hardware. When you wear Aryu, you're wearing art locally made from a craft table with love and patience. I care deeply about creating pieces that tell stories about culture and are comfortable and accessible. Accessories that people can truly live in and can't wait to show off!
