Hi Cydney! Thanks for sharing your story with us today! Can you please tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! My name is Cydney, and I live in the Dallas area with my Weimaraner, Enzo. I'm originally from the Midwest, but after living in Upstate New York for some time, I relocated to Texas. I love hanging out with my friends & family, volunteering, exploring new restaurants (I'm a huge foodie), and as an avid traveller, I'm always planning my next trip.
Welcome to Texas to you and Enzo! What's the best advice you've ever received?
"One day or day one? It's your decision" - this statement resonated with me the moment I heard it, and I've tried to apply it in both my personal and professional life. This statement was also pivotal in turning the idea of It's The Question Game into a reality.
We love that the advice that inspired you is now inspiring others! Can you please tell us a little more about your business? What do you make, and how did you get started?
Like many others around the world, the COVID lockdown challenged me to find new ways to stay connected with family, friends, and my partner when in-person moments were near impossible. What started as a list of questions on my phone's notes app for Zoom call nights and FaceTime get-togethers, morphed into a full-fledged product, It's The Question Game, created to learn more about the simple, fun, and even deep experiences of those closest to me.
It's The Question Game features 150 conversation starters and icebreakers designed to spark insightful conversations with family, friends, strangers, significant others, and all those in-between.
Building deeper connections is difficult in the best of times, and even more so now! What a great way to learn new things about people you've known for a lifetime and break the ice in a new relationship. Why did you get involved with MMC?
I have been a fan and customer of MMC for many years and what stood out to me most is their commitment to supporting products created by Texas women. I knew when I launched It's The Question Game I had to see how I could be a part of this amazing collective.
We love when customers and friends become involved as makers! What are three words that best describe your work?
Fun, inquisitive, and revealing
What a perfect description! If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would love to go on an expedition to Antarctica. It would be such an amazing experience to travel to one of the most untouched places on the planet to see icebergs and incredible wildlife like penguins, whales, seals and more.
That sounds like it would be an incredible experience— and so fitting for you, exploring uncharted territories on land just like you do emotionally through It's The Question Game! Thanks so much for sharing your story with us today, Cydney. We're so glad to have you as a maker at Mosaic Makers Collective!
